God showed me this and my heart crumbled before him.

Made me think of all the times when god said love them. and I chose to love and keep loving despite how so many times it really is'nt easy.

God knows.

When you are younger you go where you want, but when you are older now, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.

The race is not to the strong and the perfect.

Its for the weak and the weary to lift up their imperfect hands towards a perfect God to run together with them.

Yet it still is'nt easy, what makes you think you are able to do it on your own? Well, you can't.

I need God. More and more and more.

Every single day.

I need a thankful heart. more and more and even more.

for all my scars, hurts and disappointments to become the stars in my life.

When everything is said and done, it comes to down to one.

Serve God and love him with all your heart, with all your might and all your soul.

Because of your great love for me, I choose to love others

Do u ever feel this way?

I've been medidating on one verse in my heart lately.

Micah 7:8
"Do not rejoice over me my enemy, because when I fall, I will Arise."

God is in the business of resurrecting lives. I need to be constantly reminded of that. Everytime you get discouraged and try to change lives on your own, u become weak and useless. But when God does it with your help, it becomes so powerful and really impactful.

We had a really really fantastic Cell group meeting on sunday.
Its so good. (:

As I was playing the guitar, and clement was preaching, and the people were praying and giving their offering and their thoughts, I could feel God sitting in. As part of the group. He was sitting and watching over the whole process. How we gave, how we sang our praises, our worship, how we lifted our hands. God was sitting there backing us up. His presence just filled the place.

Nice to always be in the presence of God.
Easter is this friday. Are we ready? (:

oh wow! look at my blog! its got dust already!
Its been a long time since I updated.
Time really flies, its going to be APRIL 2010 next week!
Can you imagine?!

Easter is next week and I am truly excited!
So many events coming up. After easter,
we'll be attending Asia Conference in May, then in June- zone camp
and definitely ladies night! or ladies camp? haha
hmmm... Let me think about it. haha

Much challenges this past month.
But God's love never fail.
The only love I know that is unconditional, agape love.
The only love I know that will never give up on me, never hurt me,
always encourages me, inspires me, strengthens me and gives me great hope and faith for the breakthroughs to come!

The Adventures of TEETIE & TOOTIE

My Valentines day was pretty belated. haha but it's not about the date this time,

Its about the person you spend your time with. <3>

Teetie and Tootie are characters we came up with.

clem>> shhhh our secret. hahaha

We had an awesome FULL SET candlelit dinner meal at Chijmes- INSOMNIA restaurant.
For a pretty affordable price*, we ate a bowl of mushroom soup, 1 main course- ame: Grilled Salmon w mash potatoes and veggies. Clem: Rib-Eye Steak- medium Rare.
AND a chocolate fudge for each of us. I really ate till my tummy increased by 10 times my normal tummy size. It was Madness. But nice and sweeet. haha

Lastly we exchanged our gifts. As usual ours are always handmade (: (:
I did the old school style- don't be cheated by the bottle size, haha
I Folded like almost 260 mini hearts, w mini book inside. Clem AS USUAL,
FOREVER more high level than me in art crafts. He sew this two little sweet mushie toys.
Teetie and Tootie. Very very cute. and made a cute animation video out of this two characters for me. Not forgetting the packaging, he drew on a box he bought from DAISO!
HAHA. So people, if you wanna get nice cheap stuff, go search in Daiso.
Japanese people are really creative especially in their packaging.

well no, Im not going to be changing blogs.
Too tiring to make pretty pictures on tumblr haha

I was praying last night and as my tired body was praying.
I had many urges to just fall back to bed.
How many of you have felt that way before?
Come on, don have? don cheat me lah. hahaa

okay, so I was praying and as i prayed and spoke to God,
Somehow, though I was kinda tired, I began to regain strength.
I felt much more alert after the prayer
and God reminded me of alot of things.
ALOT of THINGS TO DO list.

When i'm reminded of such lists, I know its not my will but your will lord.
I'm always learning, and I want to continue to learn and grow.
Doing God's work, always requires a certain cost.
Know what you're getting yourselves into when you say you wanna serve more,
when you help drive God's Kingdom to the next level.
There's a certain sacrifice that needs to be made, not because you have to, but because you want to. A certain level of increased capacity and love that you can get
nowhere else but from only God.

whoo. on a lighter note, Im so glad im done with my Asian Media project.
and yes! today is my last day at Ministry of Manpower!
I feel so blessed because my colleagues treated me to really nice dim sum
for lunch and they gave me a 8G thumbdrive which they knew I had lost it in a
Old chunky plastic bag. ( ask me if you wanna know wad happened, sad story. )
and they got me a Bourjois, Paris Eyeliner and Mascara with a pretty card attached to it.

Specifically wanna thank Lina, for being such a great friend in MOM.
She's a joy to be around at work.
Hearing your loud screams from the pantry as you play the crazy fooseball game. haha
misses! * Thanks for your pretty handmade card and your own personalised photoframe for me with our picture in it! It was a nice surprise to receive it!

Overnight prayer meeting was awesome!
I felt sad. Cos I I had to go off early and could'nt stay for the rest of the meeting.
I really didnt want to leave that place of presence and power.
Got to breakthrough!!!-

But that short period that I was there was already really impactful to me.
Yi Lun shared with us a short word, about the calling of God.
This has been in my mind for sometime now.
and she had a altar call for those who know you've been called by God
to one day be a cell group leader. and I went down to be prayed for.

Sometimes I feel im not able, not ready.
But God would remind me, I'll add unto you ability.
I'll add unto you strength.
Like the song we sang last night, "Standing here by your Grace."~
It's really by his unconditional love and his grace that I can be standing here
in this place. I feel blessed and touched to know that
God continually still believes in me despite my flaws and imperfections. (:

One thing that Yi Lun shared in the past that I really remembered is that
If you don fulfill the calling GOd has for you in your life, you are forfeiting
many lives that could have been impacted by you.

Loving god is all about loving his people. even those that are hard to love.
and I learnt that you don't have to be perfect to be used by God.
God is not asking for perfection.
He's asking for a heart after him. One that is willing to surrender.
If you want to see the power of God working through your life, you got to surrender to him.

I want to fulfill the call of God in my life.
I got to love him more than anything.
More than my loved ones, more than the ministry itself, more than work/school.
More than anything. He is more important than anything in itself.
I got to love him more.

still learning and growing...
This year started with pretty heavy challenges for me.
but god is a good god.
This year 2010, is going to be the BEST year yet!

Its 2010! (: yeah!

Im preparing myself for greater things!

Thinking back, 2009 has been a very challenging year for me.

God has really expanded my capacity by a lot more.

Not only taking on a full time job, part time night studies, cell group,family and

a new found loved one-clem.

Took me a lot of time to adjust and plan to make sure I set my priorities and

make my decisions right.

Thinking back, so many things has happened and yet step by step,

God has always been with me. Through it all.

Times when I felt like falling, yet God sent me friends to hold my hands

Times when I needed a push to keep keeping on,

God was there to encourage and comfort me.

Somehow, I know I'm not alone.

On a lighter note,

2009 has not only been challenging but it has been really fruitful too!

With increase in capacity I feel like a rubberband now.

I think I can go further!

and I know God will take me to my dreams!

Glad to see new faces in cell group!

Glad to see all of us working so hard for revival.

See the initiativeness, the no complain spirit.

So happy to have great leaders in my life. and awesome friends!

Christmas was awesome! You all worked hard!

Indeed revival IS hard work.

Let's continue to bring in the harvest!

God is at hand!

Feel really blessed this past week.

God is such a great provider.

December has been such a tight month for me.

With gifts, cards, more gifts.. haha

Sometimes, i'll wonder, oh no, would I have enough for tmr?

Jia lat.

But God just comes in and does his stuff.

Had awesome treats to Japanese and western food,

Celebrations and tea snacks all provided for in the day.

Had so much in abundance that I was wondering oh no

I don think i can EAT anymore. LOL

God is a good good God. haha (:

Paid $30 bucks for cab to send e girls home during bbq night.

The next morning, my mum blessed me exactly $30 for christmas ANG BAO

I had a christmas family gift exchange with my cousins and got BODY SHOP stuff

which i wanted! haha and a dress, plus a happening top and necklace, 2 pairs or earrings, boot heels from my colleagues. (they're really loving ppl!)

The most tight week for me is the week with the greatest amount of blessings

and I believe more to come. (:

I love GOD!

He's so good to me.

Been my provider, my comforter, encourager.

Always there when I needed him

I figured the things I really really truly want for my birthday

aren't things that money can buy at all.

Although i've learnt and grow to realise

but these things, are so precious to me, and I believe God is going to be with me through it all.

God has been doing tremendous things in my life!

Feel blessed!

I got a distinction for my module in the midst of

the busiest period of the year! hahaha

God really provided me great team mates

who were really quick in deciding the topic and discussing.

I would always be able to go home earlier than the ending time of school!

Because we would always finish planning early!

Feel so blessed!

More so, I had a project DEADline. loll 19Dec.

There's a part I needed to write about 500-800 words.

Not much but still needed time to complete!

I thought I would take 4hours to finish my report!

but no!

I finished it within 30mins!!! Amazing!

Im still amazed at the amount of time saved!

Maybe i must be a little crazy too to think about 4 hours

but still i feel great!

I believe God never shortchanges!

The more time i give him,

The more time he gives me!

And its always fruitful time!

I went to my cousin's Janice wedding on the 25 of October.

I was the Jie Mei for her wedding so we had to plan how to tekan her husband

etc. haha it was rather fun. SUAN TIAN KU LA. We had waxing W <3>

and eat a wasabi plus chilli padi bread for breakfast. haha also one of his brothers had to put his head in a bowl of flour and chendol to take out the keys to the door so that Wayne can see his bride. LOl Busy day. i had to stay over at her house for the night.

They had a beautiful wedding at Swissotel hotel. I like the flower and bird arrangements on

the table. very sweet. haha.

I love prayer meetings.
Its a time when God reveals more of himself to me.
I remembered a few visions that i saw, came through these PMs.

Yesterday evening, I was @ riverwalk.
Im so glad to be able to meet up with ngoi yesterday!
She came to find me for short dinner before Pm,
we had a lot of fun talking nonsense and
I really enjoyed praying together with her! (:

We had a short sharing before we prayed and
I really believe God is going to bring us to the next level!

next level too! The next 2 and half months to the end of the year.
He shared that the number 9 represents the holy spirit
where you have 9 gifts and fruits of the HS.
and 9 comes before 10, as well as 19 comes before 20.
when you reach 10, 20, 30 its always a next step in life!
So glad im in the same flow for the meeting.
I believe, God is going to do greater things!

The Potter and The Clay

God told Jeremiah,
"Up on your feet! Go to the potter's house.
When you get there, I'll tell you what I have to say."
So I went to the potter's house, and sure enough,
the potter was there, working away at his wheel.
Whenever the pot the potter was working on turned out badly,
as sometimes happens when you are working with clay,
the potter would simply start over and use the
same clay to make another pot.

Then God's Message came to me:
"Can't I do just as this potter does, people of Israel?"
God's Decree!
"Watch this potter.
In the same way that this potter works his clay,
I work on you, people of Israel.

God is the potter we are the clay.
God is in the business of moulding and re-creating vessels or pots for God to fill with his anointing and power. but you first need to be
teachable, willing to submit, willing to be discipled for God's glory.
Faithfulness and perseverence!
Having a NEVER give up attitude in spite of circumstances and situations.
Im reminded. I wanna be a piece of clay made into a great vessel.
How deep the vessel is to be filled, determines how much you're willing to be moulded by God.
Be a deep vessel, filled to the brim.

Radiate Fire, be passionate for God. With prayer and getting personal w holy spirit.

why is it so hard to forgive?

forgiveness is one of the subject that is really hard to teach.

Basically because you cant really teach it.

you need to catch it, understand it,

and make it a revelation for your own lives.

I was listening to this sermon by Pastor Ulf Ekman

on the 7 hindrances to fulfilling your destiny.

Some of the hindrances that caught my attention the most.

UNFORGIVENESS,

an UNTEACHABLE spirit

UNFULFILLED promises

living a DOUBLE MINDED life.

After listening to the sermon, im really impacted.

and greatly warned that these issues are indeed really going

to hinder my GREAT destiny for GOD!

I don't want to ever allow that in my life!

I remember a time when i held unforgiveness in my heart

I felt hurt and bitter.

Not sorry at all. wanting to get back at the person.

But then i realised i've been going in circles

Stuck and not growing at all for about one and a half years.

I prayed and i decided to confront the person and apologised.

This problem i thought was the worst thing to feel in my life

became my greatest breakthrough!

When i finally came through it, I became a connect group leader.

forgiveness and a spirit of repentance comes hand in hand together.

Pastor Ulf says

"unforgiveness creeps into the heart of man as time goes by.
Most people are nice but after awhile things start hitting you
and changes your outlook on life and bitterness can start
and eventually people start to harbour somethings in their heart."

You talk to people and some say in a very angry voice.

I HAVE FORGIVEN!...

BUT I WILL NOT FORGET!

but real forgiveness means you forget!

One of the verses that has really touched my heart.

and i'll always remember the reason why im here

able to be doing the things im doing, by god's grace is in Micah 7:19

"Once again you will have compassion on us.

You will trample our sins under your feet

and throw them into the depths of the ocean!" (NLT)

How many times does the bible say to forgive?

Do you know? Do you remember reading it? Time for a refresh.

Matthew 18:21-23

At that point Peter got up the nerve to ask,

"Master, how many times do I forgive a brother or sister who hurts me? Seven?"

Jesus replied, "Seven! Hardly. Try seventy times seven.

How many of you have tried forgiving a person 70x7 times a day?!

Thats 490 times!
Choose to be a person of mercy, or forgiveness.

We ought to be more like Jesus each day as we live.

Don't let unforgiveness KILL your destiny!

Don't allow the devil a foothold in your life!

You're blocking out an open heaven of blessings from God!

Amazing how God speaks.

Its such a revelation to me.

ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS.

when you forgive, you act upon that forgiveness.

When you love, you act upon love.

"If all you do is love the lovable,

do you expect a bonus?

Anybody can do that. "

I want to thank god for all his visions.
many times i prayed and he showed me pictures.
and I saw a vision of a golden wing of comfort
i saw walls of bricks representing hardness of heart,
fall in the hearts of people,
now im seeing a vision of anointing in my hands and a great revival!
Believing it'll come to pass!

Hello!
I just came back from a overnight stay at seowshi's house.
My beloved friend Jiahuey is going to China for attachment
for the next 6months! That's like half a year.
Going to miss her so much. :'( cries*

We bought loads of titbits, like
my favourite curry chicken, pringles, some canned soup.
and nice fruit wine! It was a great time of sharing and fun!
Beata, me and seowshi, surprised Jia huey with a
nice homemade butter cream magic cake! haha its quite big.
Its nice! Good job beata in baking! hee u can bake mine too. HAHA
den seowshi bought her balloons. and I made a card for her.
Will update pictures soon. (:

So sad that she's leaving next wednesday.
Hope to be able to send her off.
Cos her flight quite late. 1.15am.
haha. but I wanna there to send my dear dear friend.

friendships, people, relationships are so important.
When everything dies off. your studies, your work, your money.
building good relationships is the key to survival.
There'll be people to help you make your day,
keep you smiling even when times are tough.
Misunderstandings occurs often, but as time wears off
u start to understand each other more.
And become moulded to each other.

I wanna build on ALL my relationships.
Most importantly God, family, CG, friends.
Giving to them and receiving from them,
loving, forgiving, humbling myself before them
knowing they are precious to me.

its so important to have a great attitude.
I remembered what Pastor said early last year.
It greatly impacted me. and i'll never forget it.

he said; "Its 10% the situation, but 90% how you react to it."
You reaction changes everything.
How you look towards life, how you respond.

When things start to get you down, do you submit to your feelings? and give up?
get angry? throw a tantrum? show a black and bitter face. So no one would talk to you
or bother you?
or just simply tell yourself,No God,I choose to look up, not down. To maintain my smile
knowing that all things will work for Good to those who love god. and
keep keeping on running the race.

When people say certain things to you.
How do you react?
But I NEVER!
or NO!
WHo says!
Its not me! Its her/him!

I have learnt the power of submission,
the power of being a peacemaker.
Thats what God meant for us to be!
A peacemaker! To learn to discuss through problems, and to learn to say sorry.
even if it may not be entirely your fault, but because
you honour and respect and lovee, you say hey, im sorry.I should never have said that.
I should never have done that. sorry if it had made you unhappy.

A person who is able to have that meekness.
is not a weak person.
Thick skin, thin heart means to withstand all, persevere through and be easily moulded.

Im on this challenge.

Prayer meeting was really impactful.
As word was being shared,
one by one the leaders went up to share a word.
Each one touched my heart.
Tears flowed down.
But God I feel ok leh, why am I crying?"
Thats the presence of God.
THats the touch from heaven.
Bam that was it. Indeed nothing beats being with him.

As i was praying silently in my heart.
God asked me a second time
Will you follow me?
I remembered previously he had asked me before.
and i had hesitated.
This time, I told myself I was'nt going to hesitate.
I immediately said Yes God, Yes God, Yes God.
Though I may not know what challenges are ahead,
but you walk before me. Yes God, I will follow you.

and Jesus said: Tend my sheep...Feed my sheep..

So I cried out to God, prayed for specific ppl in Cg.
and God began to fill me.
As i prayed, I cried. and then i realise holy spirit was praying through me.
Naturally, humanly speaking,
would anyone cry while simply talking abt a person?
except for one, Jesus,
who was even willing to die for us, simply because he loved us.

As I go to work everyday, it made me think.
Could life be more than this?
Working day in day out.
perhaps you are schooling day in day out.

I feel really blessed.
Because life is not mundane and boring with God around.
Everyday is a new day with him.
Exciting, and full of life.
In fact, God is the one that brought life on earth!

Matt 6:14,15 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive trespasses.”

Not just once a day, but ‘whenever’. Meaning forgiving others needs to become a lifestyle for a follower of Christ. We would solve many seemingly comples problems with this very simple excercise – Forgive. We forgive others before they say sorry.

Let go of everything everyone has ever done to you. Let it go! Forgive them. We block our own forgiveness when we fail to forgive others. The reason we feel guilty, block off from God might be simply we are holding a grudge against someone – Forgive them. NOW.

Hello my dear readers!

Thought I post something interesting today. haha
I believe in this age of time,
Many of us have a facebook, MSN and even blogger accounts.
The technological communication is fast and quick, and even makes things alot easier for us.
But is'nt it interesting that with one stroke or a capital letter or
the way you present your language could have different results
and feel on your different readers? Have you ever thought of that?

Just like how we learnt about social etiquette in school.
Today we're going to learn about social NETIQUETTE.

Just some guidelines that I read and felt that it's really useful especially when we're writing in our blogs.
Its for protection to yourself and to avoid spammers, unpleasant reactions and even
unwanted attention.

1. Don’t type anything you wouldn’t say. Sometimes the anonymity that the cyberworld allows us causes us to be bolder (or ruder) than we would be in person-to-person interaction. In actuality, things that we write or type can last much longer than things we speak. If you (better yet – Jesus) wouldn’t say it, then don’t type or text it.

2. Proofread. Read through comments, emails, blogs, etc., not only to check for typos, but also to ensure you’re saying exactly what you mean and you’re communicating clearly. Keep in mind that things you type don’t carry the same voice inflection or body language that you are able to use to communicate in face-to-face interaction. Remember: TYPING IN ALL CAPS IS EQUIVALENT TO YELLING IN NORMAL SPEECH.

3. Don’t respond while you’re angry. If you receive a message that upsets you, log off the computer, go outside, take a walk, read a book, take a moment to pray, then come back and respond. Once you send an email out of anger, you can’t take it back.

4. Log off from time to time. Sending an email can be quick and simple, but emailing, instant messaging, or text messaging (don’t get me started on cell phone etiquette) will never be as personal as sending an encouraging note through the snail mail, meeting someone for face-to-face conversation over lunch, or even picking up the phone and having a conversation. The computer is great, but sometimes I miss having actual conversations. Take some time to step away from the computer and have an actual conversation with another human being.

5. Blog ≠ Journal. Your blog should not be your personal journal. What you post can be read by just about anyone. Blogs are a great place to share thoughts and feelings, which can be very encouraging for others going through similar circumstances, but don’t post anything you wouldn’t be comfortable being sharing in normal conversation. There is such a thing as being too transparent. Be cautious about mentioning other people in your blog. The other people in your life may not be as exuberant as you are to share every detail of your personal life with the world.

the race of your own

I am running, running and running...
In this race,
as I ran, at times I got thirsty and needed a refreshing drink.
sometimes I stopped and needed a push or a helping hand.
there were even times, I slowed down and needed an encouragement.

Do you feel that way at times? I do.

There are just Some things that we need to work on by ourselves.

1. Our walk with God
2. The decisions we make

These are the two things, no one can force us to do.
We have to pursue and make on our own.
Guidance and teaching will be there along the route you're taking.
Listening to holy spirit voice is what I was reminded today.
He'll guide you in the right path.
Its up to us to choose to move into that path
and fulfill the dreams that God intended you to have.
Truly without God, i'm just a normal human being.
But with him. Im still a normal human being but placed in a position of victory
Remembering your first lovee,
Drawing near to him. Im reminded. Let him refresh once again so that you can pour out more.

My testimony Pt 2

Then there was a nudging in my heart.
Like an inner voice. That I could faintly hear.

My friend had invited me to church when I was in Sec 1.
I stayed but had to leave because my family wanted me to be
in the same church as them. But I had turned rebellious and chose
to rebel against them as I felt they forced me to go to their church.
I skipped church for awhile, then eventually I backslided.

But God reminded me abt the fun I had in church.
About the people. About the bible study I had.
I still remember my first bible study teacher. she's a CGL for awhile alr now.
God reminded me how I seeked him and I prayed and how he answered my prayers
when I cried out to him.
He reminded me about how I sat in my room with all the lights off.
I prayed silently to him.

So one day, I took up the courage.
And I called up my friend.
And I came back to church.
I was quite on and off in the beginning.
I even said I was sick and didnt go church when I was'nt sick at all.
sad but that was me last time.

But God had put great leaders in my life.
Who stood by me.
Helped me along during my challenges and
laughed with me when I went through all my joyful moments.

Slowly I began transforming into a better person.
To what I am today.
God has truly changed my life.
I can't imagine what I would be doing now if i had'nt listened
to that still small voice and came back to him.
I learnt that even though I was faraway from him,
But yet he never left me and was so close to me.
He really does love me w an everlasting lovee. ((:

God'll love you just as much as he did to me.
If you'll allow him, he'll mould you, transform you, teach you.
Soften your hearts, and he'll touch your life. Only if you're willing. (:

Perhaps many of you don't know. haha
I was born into a christian family.
But I never really felt like a christian.
I simply just followed my parents as they went to church and bible studies.
I joined children's church when I was younger.

I learnt to use vulgar languages when I was 5 years old.
Threw a chair at my little brother when I was 7 years old,
causing him to have a huge balaku and me, caning from my parents.
I Hid under an umbrella with my little brother in the house,
and played with it till the umbrella kinda ripped a part of my bro's hair off. >.<

Later in primary four, I was so naughty that my dad made me write
a journal book stating what i was doing from what time to what time in order
to track me down.
I fought w guys in primary school too.
yeah not your perfect little christian child.

Yes I read the bible here and there. prayed too. but God was just god to me.
I didnt have a relationship with him.
In secondary school, I had a few boyfriends and was hurt by them too.
almost ran away from home
I Did rather badly in my studies and ended up in private school.

I could'nt stand myself, the position I was in......

felt encouraged by pastor kong's post on the 20 June.(previous post)

Many times we fail to see that God knows the beginning and the end.
he is ever almighty and amazing in his own ways.
We fail to see how God could use us.
We fail to see that when we start feeling like giving up,
God is there to strengthen us.
Everything we go through and have to feel, its all for a reason.
God never wastes any experiences.
If you feel you've come to the end of your road, God says im there with you.

"I'll never leave you nor forsake you."

Remember the time when you made a personal conviction to God

and you told him, I won't leave you God.

Hold it close to your heart. because God hears it and knows you.

keep on keeping on.

What does it mean?

Its to persevere, to remain, even in the midst of problems and challenges.

The love of God and the specific people placed in your lives will help you pull through.

Are you ready?

you say no, im not.

I say, no im not too.

But God says, Yes you are for I have prepared you for a time as this.

weak but yet strong

And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations,

a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me,

lest I be exalted above measure. 2 Corinthians 12:7

Paul wanted deliverance and relief. He wanted God to remove the thorn because it hurt and bothered him. It was distracting him from his work. And it did make him appear personally weak.

Why did God allow a thorn in the flesh to torment him?

Firstly, God wanted to guard against Paul being puffed up (2 Cor. 12:7). Paul needed a “thorn” to keep him ever mindful that he was no better than other men. There was the danger that he might begin to think too highly of himself, especially after his many revelations of God and heaven.

Secondly, God wanted to reveal His power in Paul. God said to Paul, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness” (12:9). The weaker the vessel, the more God is glorifi ed when the vessel really serves Christ.

Thirdly, God wanted to teach Paul to live “for Christ’s sake” (12:10). When Paul suffered some infirmity or weakness, it gave Christ the chance to infuse power into him and to overcome the weakness for Paul. Paul’s infirmity gave Christ an opportunity to prove Himself.

Therefore, Paul said that he took “pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses” (12:10). The power of Jesus Christ often comes to you when you are at your weakest.

So when you are at your weakest, you can also be at your strongest through Christ.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!

I love you daddy! you're the most awesome cutest dad. haha. (:

We came back from camping at 3am in the morning cos the tent was too hot
to sleep. We had a time of BBQ and even played poker cards at night together.
It was funnn.~ haha

Milki was too excited he crawled to the front sitting in between my dad and bro.
Then when we reached changi village, we found our favourite spot
and started to put up our tent. Its a challenge. not easy. haha.

Then we had our very own BBQ!
My dad bought the standalone BBQ equipment.
Its a one time use kinda BBQ pit.

We ate sausages, Otah, Chicken Wing, Scallop, Prawns, Crabs, Sweet potato!
Niceeee~

We even gave milki to eat sweet potato and the chinese sausage.
He gobbled it up in one shot haha.
Must be delicious!
of course, cos i helped to cook too! hahaha

After eating and clearing up,
We brought our sleeping bags outside of the tent
and played poker cards!
Me and my brother taught my parents how to play cheat/bluff.
HAHA very funny cos me and my bro cheat like mad and no one catch us!

Then we played heart attack together!
My dad always squeeze his hand inside when someone scream heart attack
and slap the floor. LOL
Cos he don wanna lose hahahaha very funny ah.

Had great fun there.
Today we bought durian for my dad.
He loves it cos its his favourite fruit.
The most unhealthy one too. HAHA

Talked to God today during lunch. (:

Learnt and still learning
the power of meekness and humility.

Meekness is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of great strength.
It takes a very very strong man to exercise full control
over his feelings and choose to be gentle, humble and considerate. It takes a strong, secure person to be meek.

Just want to appreciate elaine for being there w me and helping me along.
and clem for being such a great cell group leader, discipling me.

Over the past few weeks God has been speaking to me.
Its like a rhema to me.

On one occasion he said, you will do great and mighty things.

On another he said, be the committed and I'll teach you.

Then on another occasion he told me, "I will pour my spirit upon you, you shall run and not be weary, you shall walk and not faint, my right hand upholds you."

On wednesday, as I was in prayer meeting, he whispered, I spoke out,
" I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

Felt on the inside that I should combine them together and this is what It read.

"You shall do great and mighty things,
I will pour my spirit upon you,
you shall run and not be weary,
you shall walk and not faint,
my right hand upholds you.
Be the committed and climb with me.
I'll teach you and guide you and lead you.
With that,
I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail!"

Placed in a position of challenge.
came to a realisation that we got to be brokened to him.
came to a point that we need to have more faith, we're not satisfied.

I cried out with tears,
telling him help my unbelief!
To say "Lord I believe."
I begin to feel a tinge of how this man felt.

But Jesus said, ' All things are possible to those who believes."

Im crying out...
Greater revival, Greater passion, Greater anointing, Greater breakthroughs.

Da Zoo

On wednesday, I took leave from work and
guess where I went?
haha To The ZOO!~

lol. I registered for my company's balloting.
And I won a 4 free admission tickets to the Zoo.
I opted for wild wild wet actually. But sad, did'nt get it.
haha

Anyway, I went to the Zoo with Clement, Elaine and Logan.
Started with a morning prayer w clem,
then off to Lot 1 to meet laney n logan,
Da bao-ed lunch, and took bus there.
We ate lunch and with my power MOM card went in for free. HAHA

Quite funny la, the zoo changed abit.
Its been like almost 10 years since I last visited.
Many animals, I thought the monkey with a black white face looked weird.
Looks like a face that's been punched. LOL

I love the baboons.
Red butts. hahaha cute la.

We watched animal show too. Its called Something splash, I forgot.
they got sea lions to swim around and
included some bird that was trying to be extra in the show. haha

Must wait for it to develop first. (:

It was still alright I guess, Thank God for good weather.
Was'nt that hot.
Had a great dinner at NYDC after that. '
whooo lasagna and laney's humongous mocha drink.
Its crazily big.
Should have taken photo. haha.

Quite a cool day, felt good to be off from work for awhile.

BLING IT ON! chill out night 6 Jun Sat!

Whoo! I just came back from BLING IT ON' chill out night practice!
It was an awesome time, the guitarists and bassists plus percussionists
were fantastic people who really know their musical stuff.

haha cant wait for the event this saturday.
Practicing those songs really is'nt easy,
had to sing over and over again
and the musicians had their hands and bodies aching to play over and over the songs again to rehearse and make sure you hear the best and only the best versions of the songs.

I made a few new friends through this event,
got to know people like Cindy, Cindy Guo, joelle, err the percussion guy, I could'nt really catch his name.:X oops... and of course Zon who opened his house for practice.
They are really funny and enjoyable to hang around with. haha (:

So lets get ready for this week's BLING IT ON'! chill out night party @ chinese church hall! It's going to be great! don't miss out on it!

I found this picture somewhere.
This was my first CG in CHC.
I think it was the first few times I came to church.
My friend Yuan Mei brought me. (standing beside me in hot pink.)

Im amazed at this picture.
It Made me look back and see
How things has changed
How so many events has unfolded.
Bringing me to the next level, To where I am today.

I feel so happy to be able to step foot into church every weekend.
Gives me a sense of purpose.
Brings me to a level of dreams and visions.
Where everything you think is impossible seems to be possible here.
A certain different presence about this place.
When I think I just cannot anymore,
This is the place that refreshes my heart, mind, my strength.

Last week mike connell really impacted me.
I just thought to myself, if only everyday we could be so spirit filled.
How different would we be on earth?
in our schools?
In our workplaces?

As I sat in service that day, I saw pastor prayed over one of the leaders for the fire of god.
I want to burn w fire for god.

Just Imagine stepping into your school,
every where you go, the presence of God fills your friends.
everything you speak, is of vision, of purpose, of love, of power.
everything you touch, prospers, grows, flourishes, heals.
Everyday would become such an adventure.
A life filled with the power of God.
would'nt it be awesome?

Of course there is a line to draw between being too spiritual
and being human. But just the thought of it excites my spirit.
I want a life like that.
I want to be God's vessel and channel.
Like mike connell said, its just like taking a letter from god and mailing it to the person.
U just take and give.
You're the connecting line from god to his people.

CG was awesome too last week,
we prayed for one another with the gift of prophecy.
to speak over each other's lives.
Some took the courage to speak in faith, some were a little afraid.
see, When you move, God moves.
W/o you moving, nothing moves.
Don't be afraid if it may not be accurate when you speak it.
but rather as you speak, and in future keep speaking,
you'll learn to be more sensitive to holy spirit.
I want to be more sensitive to him.

Just amazing to know that
with one touch just one touch, lives change.
God I pray you'll fill me.

Feel sad, will really miss some of you.
but still I feel excited for the things to come.

Sometimes feel a little nervous for the more stretching times

heya!

whoo. This weekend is going to be super exciting.
Cant wait for it. ((:

Feel really blessed the last few weeks.
God has been really really good and faithful.

Last week I was supposedly quite tight financially,
but God, provided me free Breakfast, lunches and dinners.
My colleagues have been really nicee, thank God for favour.
They keep giving me food to eat. haha. So the whole day i've been
eating really really well actually.

My foodie include :
fried noodles, cheesy bread and packed homemade sandwiches for various breakfasts.
fried popiah rolls, fishballs, crayfish, spagetti, sotong, stingray, cold prawn & pizza for lunch.
Grilled fish, mummy's cooking and clem's mum's nice crabby, and fake shark fin's soup :X for dinner. HAHA. ~.~

On top of it I was given a free purple dress from my colleague
and a small bottle of Salvatore Ferragamo Perfume from one of e aunties.

Had a nicee dnr w clem last thurs.
I lost my phone -.- so pictures here are jus to let you see

His client actually blessed us with a free 3 course dinner
on a cable car!
We ate, Tomato soup, Grilled fish, and apple strudel. sweeet. (:

So we sat inside and rode e cable car up and down for about
one and a half hours. Interesting.

We had a great time, alighted at mount faber aft that.
Nicee place, next time we'll go again. haha.

The impact of Easter!

Easter has been a great weekend for me.
Filled with blessings and challenges as well.
The drama was fantastic.

Dr Silas, someone of great influence at that point in time.
Someone who seemed great to everyone,
but yet still imperfect by his own strength to be successful in life.
I was listening to one of Phil Pringle's sermons,
and I was reminded of e drama, how the story unfolded.
Success in life comes through hard work and leaning unto God. T
hat God always calls us to do something that is way beyond us,
so we can work through him together with him.

" Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit." Zechariah 4:6

Easter is all about the resurrection of Jesus.
About how we serve a living and almighty God.
Each one of us faces many problems,
most of which seemed always amazingly big to us.
But God is able to resurrect it!
IF, we choose to trust in him, to surrender and humble ourselves.
To simply sometimes come to end of ourselves
and say God you are the vine and I am the branch.
Always attached to you to grow, to prosper, for your glory.
I learnt a new perspective from the drama.

Once again, Im reminded of the love of God.
How it never ever runs out.
How no matter what you do, he's still faithful. Always by your side.
Each time I watch how Jesus sacrificed himself, going through turmoils and torment,
and ALL FOR ME?!~
I'll tear at the fact that he's such a good God.

Im always impacted by this verse.
"All things will work for Good to those who love him
and are the called according to his purpose."

Indeed at the end,
Dr Silas and his resurrected daughter became witnesses for God.
He became a changed man.
Changed not by his own strength but by the touch of God.

Pastor Kong mentioned about how a paralysed man
at the Expo svc felt a surge of faith to rise up and walk
the moment he said that God can resurrect your situation!
and he Pushed his wheelchair, and got up and started walking!

Faith produces action.
and with one Action, it produced a miracle.

I believe, God is indeed LIVING and REAL.
This is the almighty God we serve! Praise him! :DD

The walls DID come tumbling down!

ABR's Bryant Wood standing beside

As to their evidence,
Dr. Bryant Wood, Director of the Associates for Biblical Research
and one of the leading experts on the archaeology of Jericho, recently responded.

“It matters little what the Italian archaeologists did not find in their month-long dig. T
he evidence is already in.
Three major expeditions to the site over the past 90 years
uncovered abundant evidence to support the Biblical account.”
As Wood went on to point out,
John Garstang (1930-1936) and Kathleen Kenyon (1952-1958)
both dug at Jericho for six seasons
and a German excavation directed by Ernst Sellin and Carl Watzinger dug for three.
All found abundant evidence of the city's destruction
by fire in a layer related to the Biblical date of 1400 BC.

In September 1997, Dr. Wood visited Jericho and examined
the results of the Italian excavation first hand. Incredibly,
he found the Italians had uncovered the stone outer revetment wall
at the base of the tell with part of the mudbrick wall built on top of it still intact.
In the balk of the Italian excavation, at the outer base of the revetment wall,
Wood noticed the remains of the collapsed mudbrick city walls which had tumbled.
Not only did the Italians find the same evidence uncovered
in the earlier excavations, it fits the Biblical story perfectly!

Wood reports:
“The Italian excavation actually uncovered most of the critical evidence
relating to the Biblical story.
But even more exciting is the fact that all the evidence
from the earlier digs has disappeared over time.
We only have records, drawing and photos.
But the Italians uncovered a completely new section of the wall
which we did not know still existed.
I had my photograph taken standing next to the wall where the
mudbrick collapse had just been excavated!”

Is the Bible accurate concerning the destruction of the walls of Jericho?

The sinful city of Jericho was judged by God through the Israelites.

The seemingly impenetrable walls were collapsed by a miracle.

In the Old Testament, in Joshua chapter 6,
we have an account of the Israelites defeating the city of Jericho
when they came into the Promised Land after wandering in the wilderness for 40 years. According to the biblical account,
after the Israelites marched around the city once a day for six days,
on the seventh day they encircled the city seven times.
On the seventh time around, the priests blew the trumpets,
the people shouted and the walls fell flat.

The first major excavation of the site of Jericho,
located in the southern Jordan valley in Israel,
was carried out by a German team between 1907 and 1909.
They found piles of mud bricks at the base of the mound the city was built on.

It was not until a British archaeologist named Kathleen Kenyon reexcavated the site with modern methods in the 1950s that it was understood what these piles of bricks were.
She determined that they were from the city wall which had collapsed when the city was destroyed!

The story in the Bible goes on to say that when the walls collapsed,
the Israelites stormed the city and set it on fire.
Archaeologists found evidence for a massive destruction by fire just as the Bible relates.

Kenyon wrote in her excavation report, “The destruction was complete.
Walls and floors were blackened or reddened by fire,
and every room was filled with fallen bricks, timbers, and household utensils;
in most rooms the fallen debris was heavily burnt.”

What caused the strong walls of Jericho to collapse?
The most likely explanation is an earthquake.
But the nature of the earthquake was unusual.
It struck in such a way as to allow a portion of the city wall
on the north side of the site to remain standing, while everywhere else the wall fell.

Rahab's house was evidently located on the north side of the city.
She was the Canaanite prostitute who hid the Israelite spies
who came to reconnoiter the city.
The Bible states that her house was built against the city wall.
Before returning to the Israelite camp,
the spies told Rahab to bring her family into her house and they would be saved.

According to the Bible,
Rahab's house was miraculously spared while the rest of the city wall fell.
This is exactly what archaeologists found.
The preserved city wall on the north side of the city had houses built against it.
The timing of the earthquake and the manner in which it selectively took down the city wall suggests something other than a natural calamity.

A Divine Force was at work.
In the New Testament, we read,

“By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the people had marched
around them for seven days. By faith the prostitute Rahab,
because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient”
(Hebrews 11:30-31).

The Place Of Agreement

Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul;
neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own,
but they had all things in common. Acts 4:32

The Jerusalem church in Acts was very powerful
because those in the church were of one heart and one soul in their vision for the kingdom.

Jesus says, “Again I say to you that if two of you
agree on earth concerning anything that they ask,
it will be done for them by My Father in heaven” (Matt. 18:19).
The place of agreement is the place of power.
Conversely, the place of disagreement is the place of powerlessness.

Every principle in the Word flows out of the character and nature of God.
Although God is a triune God-Father, Son and Holy Spirit-
He is always in total agreement with Himself.
All three members of the Godhead are forever in unity.
God wants the same in His relationship with you.
If you delight yourself in Him,
which means to be in agreement with His will for your life,
He will give you the desires of your heart (Ps. 37:4).

In a church, God wants unity in your relationships with others.
When there is one vision, there will never be division.
There will be no confusion or weakness in the camp.

Psalm 133:1-2 says,
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious oil upon the head,
running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron,
running down on the edge of his garments.”

The anointing of God can flow mightily in a church where members dwell in unity.
So great was the unity in the Jerusalem church that
awesome power for miracles and financial provision was released (Acts 4:33-34).

In the days of Babel, “the whole earth had one language and one speech” (Gen. 11:1).
Even God marvelled at the effort of the people in wanting to build a tower
that reaches to the heavens.
God says,
“Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and
this is what they begin to do;
now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them” (11:6).
As incredulous as the building of that tower may sound,
God was fully convinced that the people would succeed.

Make certain that you eliminate those things in your life
that cause disunity-unforgiveness, anger, gossip, a critical spirit, being easily offended, unrealistic expectations, and hidden agendas.

Remember that when there is unity, nothing is impossible!

Hey guys!

It's been quite sometime since I last updated. haha
It's a busy busy week. But awesomely impactful.

During the prayer meetings we had at riverwalk. I was praying
on Friday, and God led me and showed me a picture.

In this picture I saw it parted in two.
The first half of it I was praying. Not jus praying praying but praying
Fervently. The other half of the picture, I saw myself talking to each person.
In each person were walls.
And It all just clicked.
He reminded me of the story about Joshua.
When Joshua marched around the Jericho walls with trumpet in hand,
7 times and with a Great shout of praise, The walls came CRASHING down.

And God showed me praying once more, the prayer was strong and with boldness.
And I saw each person's individual walls, as I talked to them, they came crashing down.
There were openness, Great bonding and unity.
Everyone were in one flow, of one mind, running to one vision.
Amazing is'nt how God speaks?

I really believe, its during this time of season, We got to keep running.
Problems we face are nothing but great opportunities where we groww.
Felt really blessed and really challenged this week, but I know im not alone.
God rides with me.
He rides with you too.

Realise that many times
we are all just looking but how much are we really seeing?

If you would just open up your eyes to SEE.
You would notice the very people around you that
have so much needs in their lives.

Though I may not be able to meet every one of their single needs.
but I thought I could at least try. Try touching people, one by one.
Taking the time and the effort to do what I can.
Many emo people around i realised.
They have a mask on their face. A mask that looks ready and happy
to face whats out there.

But have you ever thought about whats beyond?
There's always more than meets the eye.
people are complexed beings.
Many doubts and questions, feelings, emotions.

I'll never forget the experience i have with God.
how he filled me when Im just so down and out.
It's something that is beyond human understanding, but you feel it.
You know it. You experience the reality of it.

He's the reason that I keep hanging on in life.
Life is'nt easy, but when you walk it through w him,
you'll begin to see how things could eventually turn around for good
to those who love him .

Im not just having a religon. Religon is simply tradition.
im not in a religion, neither am i in tradition.
but im in a relationship.
A relationship that has emotions feelings.
Not controlled. But at your decision to do his will.
He's the reason for everything.
